Salem Anglican is Ready to Begin.

Salem Anglican is ready to begin planting a new Anglican Church. We will begin by meeting every Saturday for dinner and evening prayer from 4:30-7:00 p.m., beginning on September 16th, at the home of our church planter; Rev. Jason and Angi Clark. The address is 5137 Jones RD SE, Salem, OR 97306. The house is at the end of an easement so it may not be easy to find on your first pass. You can park on Jones RD or you can also drive down to the end of the easement where we can accommodate parking for 4-5 cars. Please bring your children. If your child is old enough to sit through evening prayer, we encourage them to do so. If your child would be better served by being entertained, we will entertain young children outside during nice weather and inside during rainy weather. When it begins to get dark before 7:00 p.m. in the fall, all childcare will be in-doors. We will implement a discipleship program for children when we get a better idea what our needs are.

It is my hope that meeting at a private residence will not create a barrier for anyone to attend. You are welcome in our home. Our goal is to meet in a public space as soon as we are able. We also look forward to the day when we will meet around the Lord’s Table for a celebration of the Eucharist. The ultimate goal is a new church plant that meets on Sunday mornings and celebrates the Eucharist every week. For now, Saturday nights will allow anyone to become part of our new community while still remaining free to continue attending the church of their choice on Sunday morning. I personally look forward to meeting you.

May the peace of the Lord be with you,

Rev. Jason Clark
Deacon/Church Planter
Anglican Church in North America

  1. Rev. Clark,
What diocese will the new parish be affiliated with?
I am encouraged to hear of another Anglican parish under the big umbrella of the ACNA.

    1. Fr. Darrell, I sent you a friend request on Facebook. I didn’t know about you and I would like to meet sometime to let you know about our plans here in Salem and in the future. The new church plant will be part of Diocese of Cascadia under the leadership of bishop Kevin Bond Allen.
